*!?#@ Vent Covers

In the first twenty years of RVing, I only had to replace one of these and that was due to a tree branch hitting the thing. When I took the Maxi covers off our '10 Monty when installing solar, the two that had been undercover for four years literally fell apart. I replaced them, but had to replace the bathroom one again last year and the bedroom one this year. Both times they were cracking and falling apart. This time I went with a metal one as the local dealer's only 'UV resistant' one was a whole $5 cheaper. Why can't the industry make anything with a usable life of over a couple of years?

You used to be able to get Lexan covers but I haven't seen them in several years.
