Montana 3750FL Automatic Bed Stripping "Feature"

Well we noticed, and I think others have mentioned, the "Automatic Bed Stripping Option" on some of our models equipped with a spring loaded wardrobe. I am not sure if anyone else has come up with a way to stop it other than folding up the bed spread, but my DW and I have.

Using a pool "Noodle" I cut 2 1 foot sections. I then cut them length wise to the hollow core. (I will be adding a sleeve to protect the finish of the wardrobe). Press in the wardrobe and slip the noodle over the frame at the bottom. This prevents the wardrobe from coming all the way out and pinching the bedspread. Once the slide is out, remove the noodles until you are ready to close the slides.

Simple hack! Pictures to follow.

Well got into the Anti-Bed Spread Stripping Feature. First was an attempt using pipe insulation foam. It wasn't thick enough.

So I cut 4" pieces of a railing style, attached adhesive backed Velcro to them and that did the trick.

Once the slide is retracted, simply detach the railing styles and allow the drawers to seat in the out position. Before retracting slides, put the pieces back in and retract the slides. I ran the slides in and out 4 times without an issue.

Bottom piece inserted. These need to be clear of where the bedspread goes into the drawers so they do not pinch.

The Noodle, as it turned out was too bulky and did not stay put. After trying it several times, I wasn't happy. Hence the foam insulation and the rail styles.
