I'm gonna be rich..
I received an e-mail from the disposed finance secretary of Nigera's widow the other day. She said that after some research, they had found me to be a trust worthy and honest person, and needed my help. It seems that before here husband died, he had smuggled $35 million out of the country and put in a secret account. She needed my help in retrieving the funds. For my efforts, I would receive 35% of the $35 million, plus another 5% for my expenses.
Visions of a new Cambridge being pulled by a Freightliner are now dancing through my head. The dear wife and I, going down the open road, our dog in the back, hanging her head out the window of the crew cab.
Of course, she would need some money from me to help in this endeavour. Drats, another e-mail scam, my hopes for riches dashed, so now, I set at work and type this.
But, I did responed to the message. Since she knows I am an honest person, I told her that she had won the lottery, and for $20,000 I would help collect her winnings and forward them to her. So far, I have not heard back.

I must be way up on the list. I not only heard from her but all her relatives as well. To top that off I even got a letter from Suha Arafat to help her with her $20mil. Funny thing is my bride and I were in Jerusalem when her old man was finally pronounced dead. We heard the real news there - what he really died of and what kind of "lady" she really is. Wouldn't touch that money with someone else's stick!.

Steve I never went that far You had to click on a link and then find out. I usually never open them. Most of the time I just delete them as spam. I opened this one cause some were talking about all their winnings

We also get many of these little beauties - my deleted files mailbox gets pretty full very fast
Serious word of warning - do NOT click on weblinks in these emails. A lot of them - specially the bogus ones that look like they came from a bank - are actually "phishing" which means as soon as you click on the link your computer may be compromised. These ara a serious problem as opposed to the Nigerian Finance Minister's wife who is just an irritant.
