Power Issue

Open up the Monty yesterday,slides went out slow.Had Monty plugged into house so plenty of power.Went to close slides and no go.Ok the battery is gone.Plugged in the charger for a while and the slides went in fine. Ok, new battery needed, this was the original 2007.New battery.Unless plugged into house no power.All help will be be greatly appreciated. Steve 1952.

Did you have the battery isolator switch turned off ?

I think your converter is bad. You say it was plugged into shore power but the 12 volt system didn't work. It did when you put a charger on the battery. I suggest your battery is okay, you just need a new converter.

Or, if you are lucky, maybe the 110 volt circuit breaker to the converter tripped. Look at that first.

If it was me I would still replace a 2007 battery. You got your money out of that one!

I am with DQDick on replacing the battery, and keep in mind when the isolator switch is off the battery will receive no charge from the converter. You will receive a benefit in being plugged in to shore power while moving the slides in or out, but the battery must be there for the slides to work.
