Wiring Diagram

I am sure that everyone that does the wiring in the Keystone plant has there own way of wiring. But I am wondering if anyone in here has a wiring diagram for our 5th wheels? Again I am sure everyone is different. I am thinking of putting in 110v lights over the island sink.

I've never found anyone who has one and as far as I know Keystone has never released one. From taking the tour, at least in the old days, they ran a harness down the middle of the ceiling and brought the feeder lines down along the studs. The slides get their power from cables on the bottom of the slides.

Even if the manufacturer had one, they wouldn't release it for a bunch of reasons. And you need to know how many outlets, lights, etc are sourced to any breaker you are thinking of tapping power off of so that you stay within design limits of wiring, etc so that wiring is not loaded to point of voltage dropping and wires overheating. Just takes so time to figure out how much load is on each breaker and if a run is convenient. Good luck. John

Unless you have 110 nearby in the ceiling ... adding a new 110 run is gonna be very challenging. It's tough just to fish a wire fom a ceiling light to say a roof vent. Going from inside the ceiling down inside a wall for say a new switch is next to impossible unless you're gonna pop a ceiling panel out or run the wire inside a cabinet. The 12V LED's we used to get from Michael and Kat were bright, soft white, and rugged. If you don't like the existing fixture ... swap it with an acceptable 12V fixture and source the LED's I speak of.

George & Karin,

We have a 2010 3455SA which has a very similar kitchen layout to yours. I don't know if you have the pendant lights in your kitchen, but we did not. I replaced the flush ceiling mounted lights with pendants and added an additional light over the sink. I also replaced the fixture at the entry door. Here is a link to the install we did: Lighting Upgrade

Just adding the additional light over the sink made a bit of a difference, but when I added LEDs from our MOC Members Mike & Kat, the difference was like night and day. We have gone to LED lights from them in all of our 12V fixtures in the rig and the upgrade was definitely worth it!

I hope this info helps!

Jack

does anybody have a wiring diagram for the exterior lights, i just replaced one of my flood lights and it is on all the time. I pulled the switch panel and it looks like the top wire terminal has been replaced and it has 2 wire going to the same terminal so i unplugged it and the light stayed on. the other one work fine and has one wire on each terminal. can not figure out why they added the orange wire to the yellow and white wire. any suggestions!!

Ed,

If you get a wiring diagram please share it. Montana does not seem to be willing to put them out.

A picture of your remote would help narrow down any manual(s).

The orange wire likely comes from the "Light" connection on the remote control brain located on the back wall of the battery storage compartment.
