History is not good Rich, I remember you professing for a couple of years about graphics as well, and look what happened. I remember I used to post about no problems with tires, then had a flat, bubbles and a blow-out afterwards. Like others, I hope you have not jinxed yourself, hopefully you are now parked for the winter!!!

ruggles16,

In my not-so-humble opinion, ST rated tires are inferior in quality and construction to LT rated tires. A quality LT235/85R16 or LT245/75R16 load range E, light truck tire, is going to be your best option with the wheels you currently have. Both sizes are rated for 3042 pounds at 80 psi, which is more than your axles are rated for. Below is a list of tires I recommend, in order of my personal preference, with the first two being of all steel construction.

Michelin XPS Rib
Bridgestone Duravis R250
Bridgestone Duravis R500
BF Goodrich Commercial T/A
Firestone Transforce HT

Thanks Lonnie for the recommendations. I took your advice on the Bridgestone Duravis R250. I'm very satisfied with them.

We traveled 6000 miles before the ticking Chi-Cum time bomb blew. We were in Maine and on I95 with very little shoulder/emergency lane, no trailer damage but was flagged down early by passing motorist. Put on G614 tires. Most people that do weekend and summer short regional camping trips never experience this part of RVing and their tires get to dry-rot over time. So not enough demand in the market for a better OEM product. There is a significant cash-out-flow learning curve in RVing.

We are parked for the winter,Our Graphics did well for @ 5 1/2 years then started to deteriorate. Most of them still look Ok but some of them look really bad.

Our solution,,get a new Camper with G614 tires and hope the graphics will last about another 5 1/2 years......

Recently I was at the tire dealer and found that tires on a trailer or 5th wheel are not covered by the tire road hazard warranty. They told me that being the trailers and 5th wheels are working under diffenent conditions then a truck or car, they are not warrantied. Also, because at times they sit for periods of time, and thats what breaks down a tire faster then driving daily. Has anyone heard of this policy??
