FIREWOOD FOR "SISKIYOU 2010"

Okay, so we all enjoy sitting around the campfire at night telling stories, getting our clothes filled with that smoky scent, fostering new friendships and renewing old ones, listening to Dave Anderson tell jokes about the “Pickle Slicer”, and just letting the flames mesmerize us. And with it getting down into the 30’s at night, the heat ain't bad either.

But none of this is possible without the necessary fuel source to complete the all important fire triangle. We can provide all the oxygen and heat needed, but only have a limited supply of the fuel source we can transport to the meeting grounds....yes that’s right ….I speak of....dare I say it....Timber, lumber....FIREWOOD!! So please, let’s all bring what we can, if we can, so that the eloquent flame of “Siskiyou 2010” can burn brightly for 3 nights and not be extinguished before its time!!!!

In other words, if you can bring some wood so we can have a campfire every night, it would be appreciated. We are looking forward to seeing old friends again and making new ones. See you all on the 28th!

Take care and travel safe,
Jack & Dave (a.k.a. Pyro 1 & Pyro 2)

Good to know....thanks Don. Hopefully we can get most people to bring a little bit of firewood so we don't have to spend our hard earned retirement money

I will find some sticks of wood and bring them along for the fire. This is when a long bed truck is really handy!

Thanks Butch....we will bring what we can fit in our short bed truck Hopefully we won't have the same problem as when we went to Quartzsite. I had a piece fly out and hit the front baggage door But we were able to reverse the door and fill the hole...looks like new again

Don & Claudia,
Thanks....hopefully between all of us we will have enough to where you won't have to make a trip back to your place for more, but it nice to know you can if needed.

Pyros,
Going to Quartzsite saved a whole month of firewood usage. We will bring some from the woodshed. We have a short bed so we will bring short pieces. Favorite beverage, warm fire, good friends. Save me a spot!
