OME Flashlight

I happened to be one of the LUCKY owners of a rechargeable flashlight that WORKS---that is until I dropped it. A quick visit to the dealer reveled that the flashlight has been DC by keystone....anyone have a GOOD REPLACEMENT SUGGESTION ??

Check this one out. AZcampinfool recommended this some time ago. I've been going to get one, but just never have got "round tuit".

Mine quit just after we got the trailer back home. I called my dealer and he ordered me a new one. I just put it in about two weeks ago. You should still be able to order a replacement light.

Will, you beat me to the punch! I do love my rechargable flashlight. Here is a pic of it installed in my Mountaineer. I just wired it right up with the existing wire from the old unit.

Gulp, a little pricey for me ($100 with charger). The Audiovox one in the Montana was only $12. I would really miss mine if it broke. I'd actually have to put batteries in one of the 6 or so flashlights rolling around on the floor of the truck .

Our flashlight quit working also. We went to an RV dealer in Ma. where we go for the summer, and he said "Corrosion is the problem". He took it apart, cleaned off the contacts on it and it has worked since. No Guarantee on how long. LOL Have a Good Day

I took our second one apart, and the solder joints were terrible. I just threw it in the trash. One of these days, I may order the one AZcampinfool recommends. Right now, I have a BD 18volt drill with 3 batteries. I picked up a light for the batteries it uses. (Actually, Lowe's said the light would only fit the Firestorm battery, but they were wrong.)

I was in Walmart the other day and saw rechargeable flashlights in the sporting goods section. They had multiple LEDs instead of an incandescent bulb. Flip out contacts that just plug into a wall socket. I was in a hurry so did not take the time to really look it over, but plan to go back and probably buy one.

The 110V charger lights are pretty common. It's the 12V chargers that are harder to find. Mostly police/fire outfit stores.

I have a LED flashlight that I hate and won't waste anymore batteries on it. It lights the area but there is no contrast to actually see. It's like you can see, but you really can't.

Sounds like Brad knows what my college days were like. Ha Ha, thank goodness for seeing the light!!

I replaced the stock unit with a Streamlight Stinger. Love those lights! My particular model has a cigarette lighter charger, but I hardwired it into the Montana wiring very easily.

Is it vogue to have a rechargeable? My DW left my fine Keystone unit on the back of my truck and well, all the kings men couldn't put the darned thing together again. I opted for a regular battery flashlight. I can buy a lot of batteries and bulbs for $100.00. This is just what I did....

I still have the original 12v flashlight my '04. I had to take it apart a couple of years ago and replace the bulb. I have the black rectangular like flashlight.

On the 3400RL, previous models had the flashlight at the end of the kitchen counter by the steps to the bedroom. I believe this was discontinued on the 2008 models.

I talked to Charles Wade last year in Anchorage and he said the rechargeable flashlight was one of the bigger headaches Keystone had to deal with and would be DC'ing it soon. I guess they finally did.

Thanks Bingo! I guess they had to cut back on something to make up for the now standard 32"flat screen LOL!

Ours still works after a year, of course we didn't give it the truck bumper to ground impact test like Phil and Cathy did!! LOL! I do keep a couple of flashlights on hand just in case, based on other forum experiences regarding this fine instrument!!
