Ok what can I do

Below is a post I made Sept 30. Maybe I didn't explane it right. My camper has been in the dealer for almost a month now waiting for an ok from Keystone to replace the axles and springs.
The dealer called Dexter to replace the axles and springs. Dexter told the dealer that Keystone didn't put the proper size axles on the trailer for the weight.
Dealer called Keystone and sent all the information{picture, weight ticket etc}
Keystone told dealer the 5er was over weight. The trailer GVW is 11,600 lbs setting on the scales. GVWR for 5er is 12,475
Dealer contacted Keystone ask them to explane why it would be over weight.NO RESPONDES.
Last Tuseday I called Keystone and talked to customer service.First they said that they didn't mean that it was overweight now but I overweighted at some time. I expland that what is in the 5er now is what I travel with. Gave them all the infomation from Dexter. They said that they would call Dexter and look into it and call me back by Friday. NO CALL
Monday called customer service again talked to the same person and they said they forgot. They said they would turn it over to their supervisor.
Today called Keystone to find out what the supervisor decided. Left message with customer service voice mail. NO CALL BACK!!!

HELP

I have to replace axles and springs. My 5er is 15 months old and with 5,000 to 7,000 miles. It has 5200 lb axles. The fiver weight is 11,600 lbs. on the ground with all my stuff in it. Dexter claims that Keystone didn't put heavy enough axles on it and Keystone claims I had to overload it and it has the proper axles on it. Keystone said the only way the axles would bend is if it was overloaded.
Keystone specs are as follows: Plate in 5er, GVWR 12475, Minus UVW 11140, Fresh water tank filled 498, Propane 60, Cargo carrying capacity 777.
Keystone web site is as follows: Shipping weight 10625, carrying capacity 3570, Hitch, 2195. So far Keystone looks like they can use any number they want to justify there actions.

I,m open for any suggestions from anyone who can help with this problem.

" Dexter told the dealer that Keystone didn't put the proper size axles on the trailer for the weight" "It has 5200 lb axles" Are you saying that Dextar said the the 5200lbs axles are the WRONG axles. That it should have had say 6K axles on it and keystone made a mistake and installed 5200lb axles. That would be a no brainer as if it should have as OEM the heaver axles and a mistake was made..keystone would be responsible to replace them. My 06 Montana 3400 has 6K axles and GVW of 13975 because a lot of the weigh is Pin weight and it is on the truck..not the camper axles. It sounds like that with a GVWR of 12475 that the 5200lb X 2= 10,400lbs would be the correct axles for that camper.. I am not familiar with the 06 344 ret. Do other 344 ret's have heaver axles. What am I missing here.

If you take your pin weight 2195 lbs from your GVWR 12475 lbs that leaves 10280 lbs -- two 5200 lb axels= 10400 lbs -- you have120 lbs left over. 5200 lb axels should be plenty.

Or to say it another way take your weight of 11600 lbs less the pin weight of 2195 lbs now you have 9405 lbs on your axels-- your axels are rated at 5200 lbs =10400 lbs 10400lbs less 9405 lbs leaves 995 lbs, put some more stuff in your trailer. Provided my math is correct.

Thanks every one for your input. But what I'm really asking for. Is help getting the axles fixed by Dexter and Keystone under the Two yr warranty. Dexter says the axles and springs failed because Keystone put the wrong axles on the 5er. Keystone says they failed because I over loaded the 5er. I undersand the axle pin weight ratio And as you can clearly see I am not over weight.

I do not understand this dexter/keystone conflict... The 5200lbs axles are the correct axles.. they are on all of your model..Dexter provides the axles to keystone..Is dexter telling you that they provided axles to Keystone knowing that they were not the proper axles for that camper...If so then Dexter needs to recall all of those axles..The warranty is with dexter..Keystone customer service is NOT going to replace the axles unless they get the money from Dexter to do so.This issue is a dexter responsibility..Maybe you need a Attorney to have a chat with dexter..
