Ozz, have one sitting in the Monty. Plan to put it in the vent just outside the shower to exhaust steam from the shower. Will be easier than keeping the throne room door open with fan running. Plan to draw power from the near by lite, then will be able to turn it on via the wall switch, but can turn the lite or fan on/off via their own switches.

I have, and installed one about a year ago, it is a powerfull fan and will move some air, it is almost the same noise level as the OEM fan, it also cuts down on natural lighting, If I was to do it all over again I would invest in a Max air or a fantastic vent fan there cheaper version with the on/off switch. but tha price is the selling point the Max air and fantastic vent are 250 or better.

Did one a few months ago. What a difference. Install was very simple, about 15 minutes worth. You do have to flop the handle around to fit up with our vents, but it is designed to do so. That anemic excuse for a fan that is factory installed is not worth their time and effort to put it on in the first place. The Vortex replacement will make you think about installing a seat belt on the toilet.

This post got me to thinking. One of the added benefits to our 3750FL is that the ventilation in the bathroom is provided by a fantastic fan. Obviously it is a substantial cost increase (I cannot remember if it was an option but I didn't think so??) and the thing that I have not addressed yet is it is the rain sensor type, guess I will have to tell the women no showers when it is raining outside??? Betcha that plan would go over real well........NOT!!!! Guess I need to get a Max-Air cover for that one.

Bingo,
A little OT but when it's raining and we want to take a shower, I override the rain sensor switch so that the cover will open and when it gets to th point where the fan starts (about an inch open), I hold the manual handle to stop the cover from opening any more. This way we get little to no water in the Monty while still exhausting steam and moisture from the shower.

I have a Vortex added in the "Loo". The volume of air moved was pulling the "smell" out of the tank, whew! I installed a 12v 'dimmer' rheostat to allow me to control the fan speed. Now I have it set at about 1/2 speed and it perfect.

Bob, I have the same unit as you and was wondering about the strong exhaust in the "loo". I have had to replace the fan motor twice and wanted to put something different in there, but don't want to deal with the smell so will hold off for now until this motor goes out, then possibly do as you have done. We have the CW Comfort Air exhaust fan outside the shower and it works great, although, we now have to open in manually as the auto opening function seems to have left us.

Without going into much detail, I find that if I wait to turn the fan on AFTER business is done, I don't pull air upwards (from the tank or otherwise). YMMV

Ozz I will get me one of those shortly thats a good idea. Like Bingo I was thinking about the fantastic but the price was alittle high but a very good fan. I have the one in the LR works great. Bob The speed switch is also a great idea and easy to install. Thanks Guys Just what I need more Mods the DW is thriled with me right now and its a new feeling for me LOL.

We use the Vortex fan on high speed when we are having rain and the Fantastic Fan with Rain Sensor is closed to help circulate air, especially during our showers to help remove the humidity. We have a vent cover on that fan. I purchased the 12v rheosat at a RV salvage store to reduce the cost.

I replaced the bathroom fan with a 12v 120mm computer fan. It's so quiet that we sometimes forget it's on.
Quiet, that was the major factor. But if I was doing it now I'd use a 230mm low RPM/High airflow fan. About 17dba at 700RPM. Under $20 on eBay.
No seatbelt required!
