Grant and Kathy,
We leave Sterling where we've been visiting friends tomorrow morning. We head to Anchorage, then Denali and Fairbanks.
We'll be watching for you on the road!!!

We had dinner at the Pump House while we were in Fairbanks, Excellent place to eat, and what a view of the river.

Grant & Kathy, David & Jo-Anna and others heading to Denali,
I think Doug already said we stayed at Denali Grizzly Bear Resort (thanks to Judy & Glenn's recommendation). We took the 6-8 bus tour of Denali and highly recommend it. Be sure to call ahead and get reservations (800-622-7275), oh, and pack yourselves a lunch. They provide one, but your own would be much better. Our driver was extremely knowledgeable and she had a good sense of humor. Great tour. Also, if you get a chance, drive to the top of the hill, to Grande Denali Lodge, you can't miss seeing it, what a drive up there. We had a drink out on the deck, now what a view and talk about being on the edge, wow!! The Great Fish and Chips Co. really does have great fish & chips!
When heading out of Denali toward Anchorage or reverse, stop for lunch or just to browse at the McKinley View Lodge Milepost 134.5, Parks Hwy (aka Mary Carey's restaurant). Very interesting woman. She was an author and her daughter now runs the place and is a children's author. Sharon and I had fun buying books there and the hamburgers were great.

We did the pump house sunday afternoon. We all had a great meal. We got in line for the ferry at 7a.m., we knew the caravan would be leaving that morning so we kinda rained on their parade, we are a caravan of 3 rigs. We head to Denali tomorrow and have a reservation for bus tour on the 11th. I'm still wiping out the dust from the top of the world hwy, but nothing broke or came loose. Looking forward to seeing Mt. Mckinley. We visited the wildlife biology center by the university, very interesting and got to see muskox and their babies up close. Safe travels and we'll flash you, Stacy

Bill & Stacy,
We did the bus trip to Ellison on the 9th (66 miles one way). Great day mostly clear skies and a lot wildlife (Moose, grizzles, caribou. Dall sheep) but, Mt. McKinley was not visible.
We are staying at Denali RV Park & Motel because they have a dog walking service for only $10. Our bus tour was almost 9 hours plus the time to get to and from the bus stop; so it was nice to know that Raider would get in couple of walks while we where gone.
There about a half a dozen other Montanas staying here as well are you?
Grant
