Microwave door latch repairs, broken latch pin

Here is the broken pin, I'm super gluing it, backing that up with metal and epoxy until I can get another, this may be stronger than the original.....

Mine looked exactly the same.

Charlie, here is what I did.
I super glued the pin on, then mixed 2 part epoxy and encapsulated an electrical connector to the back, fusing the connector, epoxy and latch assembly together. Should be stronger than a new one.....or it will break with dinner in it..
We will see. I will order a latch from the Mfg.

I replaced the Appollo with a conventional microwave, kept the Appollo to when I could work on it at a later time. Sounds like a good fix, maybe stronger than original. That is what I should have done to mine if I had not ordered the part new. If it breaks again, I'll know what to do.

The new one is made of different material then the original so there for stronger. Time will tell. Also be sure to push at the top and in the center.
