Winter Question

I have the IQ charger on my converter. Is it better to totally power down the Monty for very cold weather storage of leave it plugged in with the battery during the entire winter. Last year I removed the battery and unplugged it from shore power. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Just my opinion, but choosing the two, I think I would take it home keep it warm, and put a battery maintainer on it. That way you can keep it clean, re-install it in the Spring and clean and seal the battery cable connections.
I use a Red sealer, it's like WD-40, get it in the battery department of auto repair shops. No oxygen to the connections, no corrosion.

I think Ozz has the best answer. However I'm too lazy, so I leave the batteries in and plug in the trailer every 3 0r 4 weeks to keep them charged up. Then we spend January & February in our rig, somewhere south in warm country. Happy ice fishing.
