Mini MOC rally......

Sue and I met Rich and Helen, (Richfaa), Downtown Vegas for a great breakfast, then some socializing and just a teeny bit of gambling.
They are super people, fun, and just plain nice to be around. We learned first hand about the factory tour, and the nice time they had at the rally, they couldn't say enough nice things about all of you that they met there.
We snapped a few pictures by the Flamingo, the pictures may be worth a ton, as they are tearing it down...well maybe not.
If all of you are as nice and fun as they were...it's one more reason that it's great to be a Montana owner!!!!!!!!!!!!http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n194/JimsSue13/100_0241.jpg

Hello Ozz, sounds like you guys had a great time. Nice to know the feeling you get about members of this club on the forum, are true.
I'm going to print the pictures and stick them with my retirement fund on the off chance they will be worth a ton .

I was surprised to see the Stardust was still there. I thought all the old places had been torn down. My first visit to Las Vegas was at the Stardust, I was all of 17 but got in with no problems because I was with my ex-husband. I looked older than 17! No gambling (what was I thinking), we went to golf!
Happy trails.....................

Sue we might be dating ourselves but my first trip was to golf at the Dunes. It was one of the best courses I ever played.

Helen,
We are dating ourselves but the nice thing about it on the MOC we have lots of company! We golfed at the Dunes also - was the first time I had golfed with a cart!
Happy trails.........................

First time for me was 1957, think the only thing out on the strip was Bugsy's place.

Okay Pete you gonna make me tell my age! LOL When I first visited the Sin City it was 1957 also. The Starlight was there. It was also the first time I had even viewed a show with bare bosoms! I was very naive but only 17 remember.
Happy trails.....................

I was thinking about this after I went to bed. We use to go to see the shows. Three per night, dinner, regular and late night. We saw a lot of great entertainers, Frank, Dean, etc. And we dressed up to go to the shows. Suit/tie and cocktail dress. Wow! How times have changed. Today if you see someone in those kind of duds, you figure they just got married!
Happy trails.......................

You ladies may have dated yourselves but I prefered to date someone else, namely young women. Back when I was single, that is!

Jim, that's the Stardust, not the Flamingo! Maybe those other pictures you sent me were at the Flamingo?

Oh no - not the Flamingo! Great seafood bar!

Ozz, I thought the Stardust was already gone. I thought one of them was shot down by the pirate ships at Treasure Island, but maybe that was the Dunes.

I got all excited thinking you were planning a mini rally at Vegas! Cmon Ozz, set it up at the Oasis!

The pictures are in front of the Stardust where we had bkfst. This is the last month for the Stardust. It is coming down next month. The other picture, if ever posted, are in front of the Riviera.Helen's convention was at the Riveria and we could count 8 construction sites looking out of our 16th floor window. The Riveria, Stardust and Sahara are close by but have seen better days. I have been to Vegas many times going way back. I liked ther "old Vegas" much better.
