We have to make an emergency trip to AZ this weekend of Nov 5th. Anyone have any suggestions for park near Scottsdale or in Scottsdale?

There are many, mega campgrounds in Mesa, which is south and east of Scottsdale. Several are Passport America sites, if you belong to that discount club. Our nephew lives in Scottsdale and we didn't find anything real close to him. We haven't camped there but I have looked into it.
Hope all goes well for you and your emergency works out well for you.

I agree with Judy that Mesa is your best bet. The 101 as well as several large surface streets run north into Scottsdale. Alternatively, there is an adult park at roughly I-17 and Union Hills Road on the North side of Phoenix. It is clean to the point of being sterile. This is just off the 101 going east to Scottsdale. I don't have the name but can get it if you want.

The park I was thinking about is Desert Shadows. It is a Good Sam Park. It has some pet restrictions but I know we stayed there with our dogs. The phone number is 800-595-7290

Dusty and Don. There is a great new park at Ft. Mc
Dowell called Eagle View RV Park. It is right next to Fountain Hills which is just over the hill from Scottsdale. It has 150 sites and is a lot closer than going down south to Mesa. The number is 480-836-5310. We are staying there for the month of February and stayed there last year as well. They have cable TV, WiFi and complimentary continental breakfast. If you can get in, you won't be disappointed.

Thanks all. We have reservations at the Eagle View in Fort McDowell. Sound like nice people too. We will be there from 6th until the 12th of this month.
We are staying at a place in NM we have stayed before on way down there. Called Cibola Sands KOA. Also staying there one night on way home. Small park and very nice people running it. Some very unusual lava formations. With a lava bubble on the RV park grounds.

This Eagle View park is nice. So happy we are staying here. They have all the amenities. Free wi-fi too. Continental breakfast and on site trash pick up daily, and much more. New park with nice landscaping.
Thanks Jim for recommending it.

Sounds good, free WiFi. We're hoping to be in Scottsdale in February 2007 so we'll put this park on our list. Thanks.
