Crossville, TN - Oh My Gosh! Almost Heaven

Well, we decided to do an extended leg today. Left West Memphis, AR at 0845 hours and arrived at Deer Run RV Resort (What's in a name, right) in Crossville, TN.

It is a Passport America honored CG at the ridicule price of $12.50 a night. It is an ARVC Campground Of The Year, 2007-2008.

The amenities - Just click on the word AMENITIES

I followed the GPS right to the front door step, and what a set of door steps they are. A wonderful registration building where many of the amenities are located (Deli, Coffee, etc.) From the registration building to the 75 campsites is 1 mile over hard packed gravel road. The sites are pull through and back in and are crushed rock. Took one board to level the Hanna.

We have a great view (Site 131) of the 25 acre lake.

I don't want to spoil it for y'all so I'm going to stop rambling about this great 200 acre place, out in the boondocks (About 10 miles off I-40 West of Knoxville about 65 miles and Nashville, 120 miles and Chattanooga, 75 miles.

When I want to take the time I'll post the one picture I took of this CG.

Carol,
Cookville is behind me. Missed the wave.

Tom,
Moving on in the morning, heading to New England. I really wish I could see some of your carvings up close and personal. They are magnificent. Do you plan on staying at Deer Run?

Edited: p.s., If you do plan on staying at Deer Run, ask for site 331.
