'05 Mountaineer Slide

The bedroom slide always works perfect, the couch and dining table always opens on one try but retracting the slide sometimes takes 2-4 times to get it closed. As soon as it stops I push the button again and it immediately starts up again, goes 8-10 inches and stops again. Once in a while it goes all the way in on one try.

Any ideas?

Thanks
Ray

The only time I have that with my slide is after it has been sitting and I bring them in on the battery only. The lefthand living room slide which is the last to come in on mine. Maybe the same for you, I just hit the button again and it comes in or I plug in to the truck or outlet. Hope this ease your mind. Roy

Ray,
Sounds like your 50A auto-reset breaker is getting tired. Common problem, and your symptoms sound like that. The auto-reset is on the bulkhead in the front basement between the hydraulic pump and battery. Get a replacement from an RV dealer (about $5), disconnect the battery, pull the little red cover off the breaker, and install the new one. Takes about 10 minutes. Voila! Slides come in just fine w/no starting and stopping!! Good luck.
Saw that Cabela's also sells them for $8. http://www.cabelas.com/spodw-1/0001110.shtml
