South Padre Island
Hi,
Will any of you be in South Padre Island in January? We were there last year, and have a spot reserved this coming January.
We will be at Destination South Padre RV Park.
Love that place!!

ozz - If you haven't checked out the Sheridan Hotels SUNDAY BRUNCH you need to try it. That Brunch is second to none down there.

Y'all come on over to Dirty Al's for Fish Taco's and the boat rides.
I will try the Brunch! I like to ride my Bike up to Texas Moon for the $3.95 Tex Mex breakfast.
Sue and I will migrate over to Bensten palm and look for Montana's.....

We usually have a post under the Rio Grande Valley Section telling which parks and sites MOC members in the valley are located.

Ozz, you're close enough to Indiana that you should start by meeting some of our Montana snowbirds at the Fall Rally in Sept. Many of those signed up head for the Rio Grande Valley in the winter.

Sounds like the makings of an MOC RGV gathering!
By all means swing by Bentsen Palm Village, you will find a number of us there (as well as at various other parks in the valley). We will be on site 522 which is just across from John & Marge (JLBOZ60). If you can bring your bikes, there is the State Park nearby to ride in, and a bike trail into Mission.
There will likely be a thread develop on RGV activities, so watch out for it.

Man, my feet are ready to travel!
Judy, Sue and I are talking over the rally, we had planned on going to Colorado and the Grand Canyon, so we will see. I would like to meet up with all of you, as well as tour the plant, it would be great if we could get a video of a tour, is that possible?
John and Donna, the trip over to see you guys would be neat, we love to eat, and I imagine you guys know all the great places around there. I have driven by your location and it looks nice, the RGV area is full of us Snowbirds, they are so friendly down there. We love Texas and visiting Texans as well.
Al and Carol, thanks for the thread shortcut, I will cruise on over there and add it to my favorite list.
Well, no service calls this morning, so I will go out and start installing my long list of 'Goodies" on our new Montana. This afternoon, I have to visit more tire shops to get my self induced nightmare of proper tires on the old gal. (the Monty, not Sue)
Tomorrow morning, I have to hit it at 5:00 A.M., as I have two rooftop A/C units compressors to change out, as well as a condenser fan motor. Best to get it done early, as in the afternoon my tools are too hot to pick up. At 103 degrees here in K.C., the rooftop's are another 10 degrees hotter, just too hot to get anything done.
I am supposed to be retired, so I really need to learn how to say no to the work.
Last Winter, I even changed out a rooftop A/C, and repaired a refrigerator for a fellow camper in South Padre.
I will not make that a common practice in the future.
Take care folks,
Ozz, (Jim and Sue)

Not sure about a video on the plant tour, but they have in the past allowed us to take as many photos as we desired, of anything. Ask, they can only say no.
Hurry up and sign up Ozz, as there are not a lot of sites left for the rally!!
