Roof material lifting from front cap!

Noticed after last trip, the rubber roof has come loose at front cap and apparently catching air! I got word from dealership this evening, that Keystone said I am out of warranty. Coach is 2012 owned for year and half. Also said not covered under Good Sam's extended I purchased! This info came after Keystone closed for the day, , so I have not called them yet! I feel this should be covered. It involves the rubber roof and it appears not correctly fastened at factory! Any others have this issue? I normally (always) win these arguments, (one way or another), but would like to seek out others with similar problem! Thanks folks!

Michael--- get ahold of Exnavydiver! He had the same problem with their Big Sky and it is older than yours!

We had the same thing happen, but we were lucky enough to be under warranty - the problem was (obvious once the rubber peeled) that the rubber membrane wasn't glued down. Take pictures and I recommend to continue contacting Keystone and move up the chain of command within Keystone. Good luck!

The front part of a 5th wheels roof is shaped like an airplane's wing. There has to be a huge lift going down the road. A week or so ago I was traveling down the interstate and met a 5th wheel coming toward me. The front membrane looked like a balloon that was about to pop. Didn't catch the brand. The manufactures need to really get the front glued down and stuck under the front cap.

I'm also curious as to why it was not covered under your extended warranty from Good Sam. Did they say why or just "no"?

That would be my question also. Why have an extended warranty if the roof isn't a part of it?

Thanks everyone! Ok Good SAMs gave no explanation. I guess they figured it was under roof warranty ! I called Keystone ( sent pictures ) they agreed to repair it. Just picked up Montana and its fixed. It was exactly as one person stated, "no glue" under the rubber at cap molding! It's now reglued and new molding. I have to say I always try to approach Keystone ( all manufacturers) with a positive request and normally get satisfaction, sometimes they (manufacturers) just say no to dealers. Owner calls, seem to get results. I will admit the RV has had some issues, but each one as been corrected quickly and to my satisfaction. I also am impressed how well the Montana has preformed. Lots of miles, and usage and it's been and remains real solid! Thanks to all of you for responses !
