We have done the Jet Boats, not from Grants Pass but from the coast inland and it was amazing. We saw area and wildlife that we never would have seen if not for the trip. The guides are great and stopped all along the way giving us a lot of history.

We have did it many times from Gold Beach, the all day trip takes you about 40 miles up the river.
Never from Grants Pass, but if anything like the ride from the coast you will love it. Have a great time and enjoy.

Golly Marilyn, where were you when the MOC did this? There were about 30 of us who took the jet boat ride. It was terrific!!! Supposedly the jet boat ride from Gold Beach up the river is better but this one was wonderful. Try to schedule a warm day for the trip as you will likely get wet. We are the rowdies in the back of the boat.

On Edit: Re-sized picture to allowable width. Sorry about that. The original larger picture, in case you want to identify the guilty is at

Both trips are not to be missed. However the Grants Pass trip offers a little more white water than the Gold Beach trip. The only real question is, how long of a trip you want to go on. The Grants pass trip offers several options some including lunch or dinner. Enjoy your trip.

We've done and enjoyed both. In our opinion the the all day trip from Gold Beach is the best!

I lived in Grants Pass for 26 years and would take the boat trip any time a relative or friend who had never been on them came to visit. We were hardly even disapointed. Once in a while it would be cold and overcast not as fun, but still ok. The dinner trips are wonderful, the food is fantastic and eating with 7o or more people at a time is something to see. Watching the deer just over the rail feeding is theaputic. You will enjoy it. We are at Gold Beach now for a couple of years and we will take the Boats up the Rouge soon and I will post how we felt about this end up. Thanks for reading this. Bye
