Finally got out for the first time this year. Short trip to Kerrville as an excuse to make sure everything was working correctly before longer summer travels. Everything worked great.
Stayed at Kerrville Schreiner Park. A great park if you are ever in the area and like a somewhat secluded quiet park. Former state park now operated by the city. A 400+ acre park with relatively few RV sites for the size. None are side by side. All are pull thru strung out along either side of the drive. 2 mile interior loop road with no traffic, great for walking/biking. And several miles of well maintained off road hiking/biking trails. Much different than typical commercial RV parks.
Park is divided by highway. "River side" is along the Guadelupe River, closer to activities, but more traffic and considerably more noise from highway. "Hill side is much farther from the highway and much quieter.
Deer stroll in and out of your campsite. Camp host told us last year that feeding the deer is discouraged, but "they will eat just about anything (wink, wink)".
And to top it off, we had 3rd row seats to a concert by a living legend, Ray Price. It don't get any better than that.
