How hard was the wind blowing you ask?
Well, I could not get the truck door open, had to get in from the passenger side.
And.... the wind blew the stairs down as we were going down the road, it was blowing against the drivers side of the truck/5th wheel. I had to wire the steps in place.
Every time a big tractor trailer went by in the other direction (2 lane highway) it rocked us violently, lasted for around 150 miles from Liberal Kansas east. Wow. Glad that is over. In Wichata now.

You missed Saturday. The day after the tornado's the wind was blowing 1/2 again what it is today and today is nothing to sneeze at. Got a big bruise Saturday when the wind slammed the truck door into my arm. Welcome back to Kansas.

The wind bothers these trucks more than anything else, including weight. The worst MPG we ever got was into a strong head wind.

In high wind you have to also remember to park with the nose of the truck INTO the wind... Otherwise you can lose a door or worse. Hope you didn't get banged up too badly Ozz.

Nothing like the wind! We had to stay an extra day in West Endover, NV because of 90 mph winds. The windsocks were straight out along the salt flats. Glad I didn't drive in that!
