Whaddy gimme for this watch?
Pawn Stars
Run by three generations of the Harrison family
Big Hoss, Rick, ‘Old man’ and…..Chumlee, a piece of work, that guy.
Don’t expect to see the stars of the highest rated reality show on the History channel, the guys tired of the crowds and tourists long ago, but you can get a picture of yourself with them…actually cardboard cutouts, the Velvet rope lines keep you from getting close to the expensive stuff.
I wouldn’t stand in line for the 45 minutes to hour in line myself, the joint is sandwiched between an adult peep show and a Tattoo parlor in a rather rough part of town. But I had to at least take pictures and say I have been there.
There are over 55 pawn shops in Vegas, probably as many peep shows and Tattoo Parlors.
A few more pictures:

You're sure showing Sue the "highlights" of Las Vegas! Next it'll probably be the Liberace Museum (closed or not).

Ha! we drove by that place. Kind of sad looking area.
I am taking her to 'Chinatown' today, it looks neat when driving by it.

We went there last year. As Ozz stated the stars don't come out much, they would'nt get anything done. We did get a chance to talk with Chumley. Other that that it's a pawn shop.

Now you're talkin'. Is that a hotdog joint in front of the tattoo parlor or are they only using umbrellas with Vienna Beef as part of the store front?
That's a whole financial district in one block.... The pawn shop to get some cash, then a place to grab a bite to eat, then a tattoo for posterity. Even a peep show for some extra entertainment. Not sure how my date would feel but she better be real understanding.
Lucky for you Ozz, I think you have a real keeper as your date! I'd keep her for as long as possible. I won't tell you what my wife said when I showed her the next place I wanted to visit.

Nice photos Ozz!
I think I’ll just wait and watch them on TV.

You're no fun Bill-N-Donna. TV edits stuff way too much. I like Ozz's pictures because they show true reality.
Unlike the original Wizard of Ozz who hid behind a curtain, our Wizard of Ozz likes to show the honesty and reality of it. Picture on, Ozz!

Art, I did look at Ozz’s photos and I liked them. I’m glad he shares them with us!
Those lines are not for me either!

Fremont Street is the my favorite place in Vegas. That show every hour is nothing short of spectacular. The best part of it is that its free.

Years ago, I remember the first time we went to Las Vegas was a Friday night drive from the L.A. area after work when it would get dark around 6:00PM. I had left work a couple of hours early and it started getting dark as we were driving I-15 into Las Vegas. We kept seeing a bright glow a whole bunch of miles before we got there. Many miles later we realized it was caused by Las Vegas lights. This was before the Luxor, which now produces a vertical beam into the night sky so you know you're approaching Las Vegas.
DW and I were so excited by the flashing lights we stayed up until the wee hours of the morning hopping from casino to casino. When we finally crashed for the night, we woke up the next day and we were shocked by the view. Bright, boring, bland and pretty a dead kind of town with nothing but concrete to view. That line of customers shown in Ozz's pictures show more life than we saw that next morning. We were actually quite surprised at how slow and serene the day times were. But oh, when it got dark again, it was like ants flooding out of the ant hills and the party was on.
Nowadays, there is now Fremont street and the party is more 24/7 because the Casinos are better looking than with just the lights at night and activities are all day long. I do recommend a trip to Fremont street at night. Plus the Golden Nugget was where I had the best luck on our very first visit. It paid for several trips to Las Vegas. But now with all the stuff in the area and they had to pay for some of it, the luck is not so good anymore.
I hope Ozz posts some pictures of Fremont Street. Today is Halloween. All of Las Vegas should be pretty wild.

Good post Art.
My only problem is deciding which of the ones I took last night are too racy for some of the members...
OMG...again

Ozz: Chicken Range and Shari's Resort (good lunch) are just over the hump in Pahrump. On your way to Death Valley.
