Ceiling Fan Remote
I decided I wanted to be able to dim the ceiling fan light in the living room, but standard dimmers won't work as the switch also controls the fan. I stepped into Home Depot to get an electronic fan/light control and found one that is remote (Hunter universal)! Don't even have to get out of the chair!
The receiver installs nicely in the ceiling fan canopy.
The remote controls 3 fan speeds, light on-off and dim. The original wall switch remains functional. The kit comes with a remote hanger I installed under the thermostat for travel, but it goes in the end table drawer during setup.

I really like that idea, if you are willing to divulge your extravagence, could we know what the price for the unit was??
7 days and counting for delivery, 13 for initial journey. I still think I can make it, NOT!! (LOL)

Bingo - I'm thinking it was around $29.

Bingo, I purchased one this weekend at Home Depot for $39.00. It was very easy to install and works great. I installed the remote by my chair so I could reach over and push the buttons.
Brad, thanks for this great idea. My next mod is your bath room light switch.

Dennis,
I used this link to find the matching Keystone switches in ivory for the bathroom. I'm putting in a 2-gang bezel with one switch for the light and the other to start the fantastic fan.
