Bedroom lighting, revisited.........

Wellll, the bright lights over the bed wasn't working for me, so I picked up some hanging half-pots at the Jackalope in Santa Fe, rummaged around in my wiring and repair boxes and wired up a light for a test. It looks pretty good, so I will duplicate it on Sue's side.
I was afraid when drilling the pottery, I would crack it, but I went slow, used a tile drill, and it came out fine. I installed an on and off switch in the bottom, used a small 'Peanut' bulb in the pottery.
It was fun, and we got some cool night lighting.
I think the colors of the pottery were 'Spot on' as the English would say.

Ozz, that is way cool! What a fabulous idea. Hope you make it to the rally in Branson, as I would love to see all your mods. Heaven knows what else you'll have done by May! Have you ever given any thought about writing a book on how to make mods on your RV? I think you should market some of your ideas! Heck, we should see you on RV Today!

Thanks, everyone. I just can't help myself.....
I may look into a small mod. company. We have sold Jim and Sue's Heating and Cooling. We now have Poco Mechanical, and HVAC Electrical Services, Inc. and I'm retired...
We may open up Montana Mod's Inc. ?????

Ozz - Please do!

You've done most of this on the road over the last few weeks, I think you should make it a roving mod and repair shop then you could just announce over the MOC where you are thinking of heading to and start taking appointments. I think if Keystone is listening, they need to bring you on as a factory rep - roving consultant for design changes and QA!

I am so glad that you found my favorite store in Santa Fe. Isn't it just the coolist place. My son gave me a $50.00 gift certificate to Jackalopes three years ago when we were there for his wedding. It took days for me to finally decide what to use it for and of course everything we bought is in the Tana.

Okay now you are getting into my decorating theme and I want those lights! Really cool! Our stick house is totally decorated in Native American (not southwest) decor even the bathrooms. We will eventually move some of that to the Monty and those lights would be great.
Nice job Jim.
Happy trails........................

I stopped writing the mods down, I ran out of paper. You are amazing. I remember when I was in the Army, in Vietnam, my tank driver was a kid from Redding, California, he could fabricate anything from junk parts and it always worked, the rear gunner was an advertising exec from NYC, he was the weapons repairman, what a crew. Sorry, I'm rattling on.

Old GI,
You can rattle on anytime, I enjoyed it, and I am sure others did as well.

Ozz,
if you don't slow down, you are gonna run out of projects! Then it will be time to get a new Monty and start the process all over. Maybe the new "Big Sky"? I bet someone would pay big bucks for a rig that's totally pimped out like yours. You rock!

Thank you Tara.
I can keep busy just fixing the things that fall off or break. (And I do realize that all RV's are prone to the same problems, someone said;, "Haul your stick home down the highway, fold and unfold it, and it will break down as well!" or something like that...)
