Knobs and Molding

I have a 2008 3400rl my problem are the knobs on the valves for the 4 slide outs,
2 of them are stripped and I can't find any replacements.
My second problem is the flap molding on top of the slide compartment ,the sun has deteriorated the rubber and I need to replace it.
Does anyone know were I can get either of these two items?
Thanks,
Jack

Hi

I assume you mean the set screw hole has stripped. I would go up one size on the set screw and re-tap the hole.

Here is a link to Grainger they have quite an assortment of knobs.

I'm assuming that the flaps your talking about are the rubber seals that go across the top and sides of the slides. Any RV dealer should stock the material.

Phil P. Phil,I 'm speaking of the knobs on the slide valve.
4 slides 4 knobs you can turn off each slide independently .

Hi

When you say “striped” what do you mean?

I have the same setup you do and the knobs are held on by a set screw in the side of the knob.

If you have lost a knob you will find a replacement in the first link I posited.

If you have striped the threaded hole in the knob you can find the next sizes larger set screw in the second link I posted.

If you need a tap to thread a little larger hole they are in the last link I posted.

Between the three links you will be able to replace or repair your knobs.

Tthis is a picture of the stem the knob goes on. You can see the notch the set screw goes into to keep it from spinning without turning the valve.

This is the knob.

This is the bottom of the knob. You can see the hole is round.

This is the set screw I am talking about.

Phil
