2980RL kitchen sink

After 10 years of service our kitchen sink, (Plastic over fiberglass) has had its fair share of abuse some scratches and dings from pot and pans over the years. I called Keystone and received some discouraging news that the company that made that special 17" x 29" x 7" deep double sink is out of business . I got the part number from Keystone and gave it to my authorized dealer Mike Thompson RV Parts store and had him call to check on the sinks availability.... he received the same info I got he asked what should they do and Keystone replied "We don't Know"..... Dah? they had no suggestions or reference's for the parts department.. Maybe I kept my Monty too long, and was suppose to trade it in for a newer model when it was 5 years old.....I don't think so....Anyway the parts man found a company close by that makes a similar sink with the same finish numbers for 150.00 I now have it on order and am waiting until it arrives . I got lucky, and have a good parts man, even though he works for Mike Thompsons RV who I have lost all my confidence with. When the sink arrives I'll let you know if it is a good replacement and worth the bother.... The sad part is I cant install a sink with larger numbers because of the counter being just big enough for the OEM there is about 1 inform the top and bottom of the rough opening before it hits the cabinet frame.... I will keep you informed and hopefully some pictures for other 2980 RL members....

Have you tried the big box stores for a drop-in replacement that could be used with counter top modification?

Well here is my first up date for the new sinks for all us that like to get our monies worth out of our RV investment. ( keep it till it drops )
I have scaned the paperwork with the different types and different stylies of sinks that are difficult to find. this company seems to have sinks that were discontinued for early year Keystone products. One page will be the outside dementions of the sink and the other picture is the rough opening hole for the counter that the sink attaches to.

I will be installing the replacement sink soon I'll keep you all posted.

Don
