rear window shade

has anyone installed a rear window pull down shade the kind you can see out but filters the sun on their monty rear window. Mine is the 2980RL with the 3 windows and seems its gonna get a little warm when the sun hits it. If anyone has this type of shade, what type, and where to purchase from ? thanks for any feedback also it mounts on the outside of rv

tom41: I have a Sunshade by Carefree of Colorado. It pulls down over the 3 windows. I have a pic in my album.

I also have the Sunshade by CareFree. They're easy to install and work well ... pulls down and locks into a retainer ... retracts back up via a spring similar to your main awning. Others have the velcro and or snap-on shades ... although they serve the same purpose, I just can't warm up to the looks of them. One last note: at night time, you can see in through the shades.

Here's ours...

At our current location we are sitting with the back of the trailer to the south. We get the hot Florida sun from early morning till late afternoon. The Sun Screen has made all the difference in the world and no more keeping the rear window shades down. By next winter I hope to have the smaller ones, attached by snaps, on many of the smaller windows including the awning window here at the desk.

Glenn Looks very nice. I think these help so much in keeping out the sun and heat. We have the sunguards and just use the velcro and they work well. Did not want to put anymore holes in the Monty. The velcro can be removed if we ever stop using them or sell it..

We do not have them ..yet.. but along with the window awnings we are going order them through our dealer. Our stay in Az with the blinding sunshine convinced us that we need them. I did see a Montana at a Campground in Louisana with the rear pull down shades and they look OK..
