FOR 2980RL OWNERS

We love the layout of our 2980 but the DW felt there was not as much "kitchen" cabinet space as in our last trailer.
Here's a couple of mod's to help fix that......

Open up under fridge & stove.
lot's MOCer's have done this

We also noticed under the counter between the sink & stove the was some dead space with the vent pipe for the sink and some wires etc...
after rerouting the vent pipe and moving a few wires.
These are the cabinet doors left over from putting a fireplace in the bottom of the entertainment center.

Even a Little room left over for a bottle of Bailey's .

John - That looks very nice. Now we have some nice shots of 2980 add-ons that we can use and compare with our '07 2980RL. The more pics that I can look at, the easier it is for me to understand. Thanks - Jim

J&D, Beautiful work - and great use of that dead space in the counter!

Getting ready to do the same under my fridge - where did you find the matching hardware? (handles)

Hi Brad,

I used self closing hinges under the fridge & stove, that way we wouldn't have the clips from the roller catches sticking up when the cupboards are open. (hard to lean on those things). The pulls came from the toilet room. In our unit there was a two door cabinet above the toilet.
The DW bought some new pulls for the cabinet in the toilet room . Bought them at Home Depot. We did that three months ago, since then we went to a RV show and noticed the new Montana's are coming out with the same pulls she picked out. weird. It all seemed to work out OK, she didn't like getting dishes out of the cabinets over the couch & table.

Thanks John,

Dawn must be a trend setter. Keystone was watching her at Home Depot to see what she picked, and then upgraded the whole fleet .

I like the self closing hinge idea too.

Brad,
If you can't find the matching hardware, you may not need it. We used the self closing hinges and did not put a handle or knob on. It is real easy to open.
Happy trails....................

Thanks Sue,

That was my original plan - but may try Home Depot anyway to see if they have the hardware. Ours is kind of a brushed black -
