I am impressed every day with the knowledge of forum members and the great help given to the numerous problems we encounter with our rigs. There isn't a problem that can't be resolved by our members.

Butch,
I would go with 10 GA wire. I don't have my old landing gear, I gave them to chieflawdog (MOC 6935) Steve and Carla Schenk, in Salisbury, NC. The wires to the where the old landing gear motor was look like 10 GA, but are not marked with size, so the could also be 12 GA. 10 GA will carry more current, and may be overkill.

Butch,
I wasn't really clear if you took the control unit out or not, but I had a hell of a time with my Montana Landing Gear, right after I got it.
See top of Page five for final solution, which seems to fix the problem.

Thank you all for the inputs. Ed - I will try your suggestions when we return. To be honest, I rarely use the rocker switches. I just want them to work in case my remote dies for some reason. I always use the remote outside to extend everything so I can move around and watch things while my wife watches the slides from inside to make sure all is well there.
Bigred - you are 100% correct!
