Black tank flush

In the past when using the black tank flush it sounded like it was a rotating wand type, something that was spinning from the pressure of the water.
Now it sound like it is a jet of water spraying in one place.
Is this spray bare suppose to rotate??
If it is stuck how do you fis it?

There could be paper (or something else) stuck on it that keeps it from turning. I would keep putting water through it & fill the tank.

There is a little screen in the hose connector which sometimes becomes clogged. Just a suggestion, worth checking. I found this when it sounded as if it stopped rotating and flow at clear connector on sewer seemed slow. Cleaned screen of almost invisible something and "Vaula".

I don't think the part in the tank rotates. At least one of the articles I read on this system stated "no movable parts" ( http://www.campingworld.com/shopping...ss-flush-/3495) It just has several holes in the inner tank unit that gives a spray in multiple directions. Some of the holes could be plugged but in the 6 years of using ours we have never had such an incident. JIM

I thought mine also sounded like something was rotating when I used the black flush. May not have been but sounded like it. Later it stopped sounding like it was rotating and just spraying. Next time I used it it flooded floor in livingroom. Due to faulty check valve I think. Still waiting to get it in to the service department to be sure.

Mine came with the brochure on the tank flush. It's just a fitting with holes in it, no rotation.

Here is your system that most if not all Montanas have.

I had to replace my black water tank and found a simple plastic fitting with holes and no moving parts. Before reinstalling I drilled some of the holes out slightly and it seems to work better now. The sound you hear is water running thru the one way valve. Di

Ours is after market...and rotates. Sounds like Keystone went cheap again! Why am I not surprised? A little over 20 bucks at Wally World.

Ours, a 2009, certainly sounds like it rotates...

Happy Camper makes a product to help clean out tanks along with their normal product to dissolve solids and tissue, which we use.

Don't think mine rotates but what i think would fix black water tank problems is if they would put a window in so we could see LOL would that make for good conversation lol

When I was mayor, one of the issues the sewer department had was squirrels going down the sewer vents on houses and ending up at the waste treatment plant. Nothing uglier than a squirrel with all it's hair worn off. Anyway, maybe dropping a live squirrel in the tank from time to time would stir things up enough to solve all the problems. That would make the viewing window useful at least until PETA got wind of it.

Just a sugestion that might work, call a honey dipper truck and have him come out and flush it out that might brake up some of that mess.
