Need help replacing coax connector
Someone in my campground ripped my coax from my satellite antennae and broke the connector. I just want to replace the RG6 connector. Should I use a crimp or a compression connector. I would like to do it without buying a special tool for one connector install.

It might be easier to just replace the whole cable.

You do need a tool but all readily available at the big box stores. The fittings take all of 30 seconds to replace, two minutes if it’s your first time. YouTube!

Look for a portable open faced dish antenna in the campground. Dollars to doughnuts they have a crimper and would be happy to change the end for you. Many with sat antennas mayhave the tool. Ask around.

Yes, but I have a 50 footer, so a little pricey!

sometimes not the best tools but i bet it will work if you cannot find someone to do it, I bet you find a catv guy he would crimp it for you. if not there is this https://www.harborfreight.com/search...ression%20tool

You can also purchase thread-on coax connectors. Just strip cable as required and
screw the connector on. They are not as good as the compression style but will work without any special tools.
