[QUOTE=cdaniels;1070002]We had the 1210 Norcold. They have a class action law suit because they knew these refrigerators had cooling unit issues. They lost the suit and everyone who filed towards the suit ( on line) started recieving checks this month. $274 annully for 4 years.

The actual payout is based on the number of "shares" you are assigned based on information you provide when you register as one of the "class" in the lawsuit. Ours was 25 shares. Received our first check two weeks ago. Our total will be just over $900.00 for the four years. we have had intermittent problems with the 1210. I won't lie, it is frustrating when it happens, but it has happened so sporadically that I am not going to spend the thousands to replace it when I know what I have to do is shut the fridge down for a day and it works when I start it back up. I may look into a new cooling unit if it persists more frequently.

Well it sounds like Norcold is still having issues, I have a 2016 1218 2 door that just went out last Monday 7 August 17. Same issues, refrigerator was 63* and freezer 40*. Been calling all over Michigan trying to get someone to look at it. The repairmen that return my call can't get to me for 2 1/2 - 3 weeks. Finally got someone at Camper World in Houghton Lake, Michigan to look at it on Monday 14 August 17. We will see what happens!

Might as well get a couple or a few ice chests. We had to go that route both times our fridge went out, and we full time. Got real tired of having to get ice every day, so when the cooling unit was replaced the second time, it was a real thrill when the fridge was working the way it was supposed to be.

It was our cooling unit. I have to ask, why doesn't the RV manufactures put pressure on Norcold to put out a better product? I went to Camping World, on Monday 14, August. They said it would be 2 - 3 weeks to get the part. Extended warranty will cover most of it. The total installed is $2600, I have to pay shipping of the part and $100 deductable.

I noticed you haven't been to Michigan according to your map. You should make an appointment to go there next year. Lots of cool things to see on the two peninsula, surrounded by 3 of the 5 Great lakes.
Thanks for your response!

OK, 4 months later fridge quit again. Same problem, coil not working. It's been 4 1/2 weeks waiting Norcold to replace coil. Last I know they had sent it to Washington State. We are in Florida. Still waiting for coil to get here. Wishing I could get on their list for class action suit. This is getting to be a real problem as we are full timers and without a fridge it's getting expensive daily. Maybe this one will last more than 4 months. Model 1210

Maybe you should consider pulling that junk out and replace with residential unit? Many have gone that route and like it.

This one at one time kept ice cream. Now it won't even keep milk!!!!!!!

Would love to replace with household type (Samsung I think fits) but warranty company would not consider this. I'm not spending $1200 or so out of my pocket after buying the extended warranty for $$$$. Will get the number for Norcold after IO get new coil installed. Don't want to make trouble for my mechanic till after this is done.

OK new coil installed. Service tech told me he dosen't get any labor from Norcold. They even tried to blame the trailer manufacturer for the problem with the first replacement coil, something about design or like. Will never get any unit with a Norcold again. My Dometic in my Cedar Creek was still keeping ice cream after 12 years. Hopefull if this one is going tro fail again it will be after 1 year when I can use my extended warranty again and somehow I will put in a residential refridgerator whick will fill our nweeds quite well. Just waiting on it to get cold now. Hopefull a few hours and it will shopw signs of cooling.

OK, new coil installed. Freezer -5, refrig 36-40 depending on how often it's opened. Just finished filling it so time will tell. So far much better than the last one was as far as coldness.

Guess I can only hope for the best at this time.
