good news

Today was a day for receiving good news. Dianna had an appointment with a cornea specialist. Months of daily pain in her eyes had us fearing the worst, anything from tumors to dying cornea. She has suffered from Sjogren's syndrome (dry eye) for years. But this seemed to be more severe than anything she had experienced in the past.

As it turns out her eyes are relatively healthy even though she has the Sjogren's syndrome. The pain is related to side effects of allergy medication and others that contribute to the dry eye problem.

The short of it is that it is treatable. We are looking forward to her having a normal life with manageable problems. For us, it is hallelujah time.
