Slide toppers on a 3000RE

I'm looking at the 3000RE. The unit comes standard with a window awning on the slide that is to the left of the entry door. That would seem to make it very difficult, if not impossible, to add a slide topper. There is no room to add the hardware for the topper.

Does anyone have the 3000 with slide toppers on it?
