storage containers

Anyone out there got a good like on high quality stackable storage containers for use in 5er storage compartments. I admit to being OCD and wanting everything in very neat order.......

We just use whatever size works for what we need underneath, but do use the ones that you can see through. I think we’re using the Sterilite brand.

Heavy duty stackable from H\D & I took one and notched out the top corners to keep my power cord in you just pull out what you need and the rest stays in the storage box with the adapters and I can lock the top if I need to.

We have seven of two different sizes that have lasted us for 8 years of full timing and over 70,000 miles. Got them at Walmart.

I use large clear storage boxes. I don't recall the names but they are on wheels and about 6-8" high and about 3 ft long and latch closed and open halfway to get into the boxes. Works for us and easy to store different subject such as sewer, water, electrical and miscellaneous items and I can see in them on what I want before going into them.

A couple tips before you go buy the containers, lay out the gear on the ground grouped in the items you want to store together to get a better idea of the sizes you need. Figure out the groupings on what you need most often and from each side of the rig so you can containerize them in that manner. Also measure the storage area height to maximize the number you can stack

Storage

I use the plastic tubs with lids for power cord and hoses, and started off using them for most everything but the one I needed was always in the back on the bottom. I bought 2of the 3 drawer plastic cabinets at Walmart for about $20 each and they hold all the smaller items such as coax and fittings, cleaning supplies, tape, bungees, gloves, paper towels, rope, xtra water filters, tools that won,t fit in the tool box, microfiber towels, liquids that I don,t want leaked all over the basement, tire pump, water pump for filling from container in truck bed, etc.etc. Almost like 6 tubs but just pull open instead of unstacking to the outside.I placed them against the forward wall in the basement and they stay in place without tiring down. can see what is inside each drawer or label them.

Drawers are about 12 x22 x 8. Gives more room for chairs, bottom step, etc.

I too have the Mo-Ryde sliding trays - they are a good addition to make it easier to get to the middle stuff and saves the back. You do lose some space with it but once you get items re-arranged, we liked it

We use the Walmart purchased Sterilite containers. Inexpensive and just as strong as the much more expensive Rubbermaid.

I looked at the MORryde side out system and decided that they were out of my budget range. I also felt that they would limit tucking some loose items in whatever corners there are in the basement. They are heavy duty though.

I can't remember the exact weight and a quick look at their website didn't show the weight either. We have the 90" x 30-36" (whatever the biggest side to side one we could fit) and I think it was in the 100-120 lbs range
