Albq. RV Parks

We have stayed at American RV Park a few times. The sites are a little narrow and feel boxed in. We thought we would try Enchanted Trails. Any suggestions ?

It's pull thrus, but can still be tight, but less expensive, you can walk to camping world and the folks are nice and they have an RV tech who has a little shack on the property and has done work for us in the past. We stay there about twice a year and will be there again in a week and a half. If you just need an overnight there's a Casino just west of there that let's you stay on their lot, will give you a Player's club card with a few bucks on it and has a great buffet, otherwise we stay at Enchanted Trails.

FYI. I stayed two nights at the KOA. Area was very sketchy, but Park seemed secure. Police "yes APD" rode bikes through park throughout the day and evening. I did not know what to think of the patrols. I asked an Officer, he said area was high crime. I would go back, but it was expensive.

For those that do not mind short drives, the COE campground at Cochiti Lake (about midway between Santa Fe and ABQ) is a hidden jewel. For senior pass holders its $10 a night.

We spent a couple of nights in El Rancho MH park, 201 Wyoming Blvd, (505) 266-1455. East of town, just south of I 40 and just north of Kirtland AFB.

Great, since we have not had a chance to attend a rally it would be nice to meet one of the MOC Legend.

Are any of the parks there on the ocean?

Before scratching your head and wondering what I've been smoking, a friend of mine spent most of his Navy enlistment stationed in Albuquerque New Mexico. The US has a multi-service base there, but I used to rib my friend and ask him what the heck ocean was in Albuquerque.

The Naval reserve had, and may still have, a large contingent in Wichita, Ks. Most likely the Navy has always been ahead of this Global Warming thing and already has it's new seaside bases in place
