Freezer Door Sticking

Our freezer door seems to 'stick' when closed. It takes a lot of care and force to open it and I'm afraid of breaking the handle. I've cleaned the seal and surrounding frame but it still does it. Any ideas as to how to prevent this without compromising the seal?
Thanks, B

If you open the door, shut the door and then try to open again within just a minute or two, it sticks something awful. Like it forms a suction in there??

We just make sure we have all the buttons pushed in the correct direction, grab on the handle right good, and Y-A-N-K.

If this is not your situation, forget my post!

listen carefully after you shut the door. you will hear it sealing itself closed, and when trying to reopen the door after a few seconds you really need to pull on it. It is almost like yhey have put a vacuum pump in it to seal it shut

I think the warmer air enters when you have it open and when you close the door the air cool and contracts causing a vacuum.

hookman has it correct.

When you open the door warm air enters the freezer compartment. When it cools it causes a vacuum. Wait a few minuts and the door will open without having to pull so hard. When it stops doing this your gasket is no longer sealing ptoperly.
