Fresh water tank fills up from city water

does anyone else have this problem? my fresh tank fills up when connected to city water. i thought that the valve that allows me to fill the tank while city water is connected was bad, so i replaced it. it turns out it is actually back filling through the pump. last weekend i could actually hear it and when i would turn the pump on and then back off, it would stop only to start up again later. if it just leaked slowly, i wouldn't care but within a few hours at camp my fresh tank is full and overflowing. i have a 2010 mountaineer.

Are you not near your dealer to get it taken care of under warranty?? They should fix anything and everything that is wrong...and welcome to the MOC!!

This is a problem with the check valve in the pump. The valve is supposed to only allow water flow from the fresh water tank through the pump to the rest of the rig. We had one go bad. The pump head can be replaced with one from Camping World. Cost is about &40.00. But if you're under warranty, it should be replace under that.

i trip to the dealer is half a day and half a tank of gas. repeat that a few days later to pick the rig up. if they have to order a part, i have to do the whole process over again. it get expensive time-wise and money-wise to get warrenty work done. I wish that wasn't the case.
