We have a splendid combo vented, the DW says it wrinkles and leaves lint on the clothes, she uses the right detergent and fabric softener, small loads not over drying and only deals with it because its an 1100 dollars spent, but next time it will not be a combo unit. It is a nice machine and well built but if you have the room buy a stackable.

We have a Splendide combo vented unit. Never an issue with it. We chose this over the 2 separate units because I didn't want to lose the store space above it!

We've had two combos and one stackable, all Splendide, and worked without any problems.

Sounds like it’s a unanimous, we would like the combo unit so we have a top shelf for the supply’s and what ever.
Thanks for your input.

We have had the Splendide combo and it worked well. We have the side-by-side (stackable) Spendide units now and they have worked well. Having used both types for several years the DW likes the side-by-side/stackable best as it saves her time by doing both operations at the same time and she talks about now having less wrinkles.

Ditto with Recumbent, had the combo for 4 years in our first Montana, worked just fine, just time consuming. Splendide is the way to go, in our last SOB it had Maytag, total junk, in 2 years we replaced mother board, drain pump, quit again, so replaced with Splendide, wonderful results. We had Splendide stackable installed in the new rig at purchase , DW loves it saves 1/2 the time.

Has any one ever had the combo and then went out and bought the dryer only and then stacked the two. my DW wants a separate dryer, but can i do both at the same time and hook to one vent? i really do not want to buy both again if just buying the dryer will work.

I don’t think running both to a common vent would be good. Probably have some blow back into the idle unit when the other was running. Don’t see any problem with doing it with separate vents though other than having to run a new electrical circuit if you ever had any idea of running both dryers at the same time.
