As long as you are still here in Florida, and you are getting multiple quotes, think about trying Jon Smith at Lazy Days RV. Did us proud on our Big Sky 3 years back, and also an SOB for some close friends of ours. Just tell him we sent you; and no, we do not get a kickback!

We will try that.. We did talk to lazy days at the RV show and they were so far out in Left field we coud not see them.

To bad they do not offer the Big Sky package in all their layouts.

We purchased from RV Outlet in Virginia. They were top notch on sales and delivery. I was very disappointed in service and assistance after the sale. Had some problems within the warranty periods, and had to fend for myself.

That is also our concern. However we travel all over the country and have NOT had a problem with warranty work or service from any dealer, anywhere.
We will call the Keystone service center or our regional sales rep and let them find us a dealer wherever we are.It has always worked with excellent results.
Of course me telling them that if they do not find me a dealer I will send my Cousin Guido around to have a little talk with them has nothing to do with it..

Got the first quote back from Town& country. Best so far and within our price range but we are not done winning yet. Looks encouraging.Waiting for the second round. Lucky we made some good Mouse $$$ this year.
Been playing ..lets make a deal via E mail all day. They gave me NADA plus a good price for the extras we have installed on this 06 3400..sight unseen. Now doing the If you throw this or that in we may have a deal. Bill is the owner of the dealership and we played this game on the 06 3400. Need Helen's input as she is at work.

Not done yet. We have the advantage of having sold these things for a few years so we sort of know about cost to dealer. Dealer expenses such as Transportation, Prep, Commission, salaries and of course dealer actual profit to the dealer. We are a hard but a fair sell. Included in the "profit" are a bunch of expenses that the dealer has to cover and is included in the sell of every RV.

Determining factors. Dealer, Distance to home dealer, Experience with dealer and Keystone Montana. Overall satisfaction with the 06 3400 Montana. price of the 3402 Montana Big sky with the options we wanted. Trade in price for our 06 3400.Cost of financing. In that order.
Of course the experience of those on this forum and the friendships we have made over the years are priceless.
We are on the home stretch.

Good luck Rich. I learned so much from your first Montana purchase, it really helped us becaue it was right before we ordered our 2007 3400RL.

We had only seen the 3402 twice.Once at the Fall rally at the factory and next at the Tampa RV show this year.We never did a in depth look at them. We did today. We had to go over to Lazydaze Rv, 40 miles away and they only had ONE on the entire property.
Helen had tape measure in hand and we are shocked at how much storage space both interior and exterior is lost. Yes we gain some and lose some but we lose it in areas we are not happy in losing.Example the front closet in the 3402 is maybe half the size as the 2006 3400.
What looks good to the eye may be very deceiving.
we came back and she compared and we are not happy. We will deal with it.I would suggest the tape measure test before the purchase of any new model.

Less space? The 3402 is a very big camper. What happened to the extra space?
