Brakes

My new truck has an integrated trailer braking system. It is factory set at 5.5 trailer gain. Do I need to adjust this for a large 5er?

I found that the OEM 5.5 setting was to aggressive and reset mine to 4.0 but I'm pretty sure that your 3400 is heavier than our 2980.

I set mine at 8.5 and like John think 9.is to aggressive. This is some thing you may want to try different setting to see what suits you.

We also have our brake controller set at 8.5 and check it each time we pull.

6.5 works for me on the 340RLQ even with the heavy Gel Coat.

Check the manual, as the DW likes to tell me, "if all else fails, read the directions."
