Montana vs Challenger
I am wondering if the Challenger is Keystone's top of the line 5er or if the Montana is? When looking the the standard features it seems the Challenger has many more standard items and they also have an inclosed bath model.

The standard features may vary but I think the concensus of opinion is that the Montana and Everest models are their "top" models, now that the Big Sky and Cambridge are no longer being produced. Does the Challenger come in 38 foot models? Maybe big is better and that is what makes the Montana and Keystone higher ranked models. It's probably just an opinion ranking anyway.

Welcome to the MOC. Hope you enjoy reading this forum as much as I do.
We've seen your question discussed on this forum a number of times as to which is the "top" model but I don't think that I've ever seen definitive proof as to which is which.

That's a great question. I wonder if a more practical question might be, "Which brand appeals to my felt needs and is it reasonably well built and supported by the manufacturer as well as by other owners." Most Montana owners go by the "best bang for the buck" rule. We all generally agree that the Montana line meets that catagory.
It will not be hard to find a dealer who would wish to sell you a higher priced unit. It is not uncommon for a dealer who does not handle Montanas to give a bad report on them. The bottom line is that you need to be happy with your purchase and enjoy its fine features regardless of where it fits on that imaginary status list.

Mine has the enclosed bath also but it is the last year that has the sliding door between the bath and the bedroom. After seeing the new models that appear to have the sink in the bedroom I will stick with my 04. I have looked at the Challenger (my brother-in-law has one) I still prefer my Monty (he prefers his Challenger). I guess it is whatever you are happy with.
