couch bed comfort
We just bought s 3931 and the couch opens to a queen bed. Our daughter stayed on it this past weekend and said it was a bit hard. I have a 4” blow up mattress but wS wondering if there is a better solution, dh watches everything I put in the unit and doesn’t want added weight!

Sometimes you have to decide what weight is important. If the comfort of your guests is important, and the couch isn't doing it, then something needs to be done. Possibly a memory foam pad over it would do. The air mattress also works well, we did that in our old rig. Our new one has a comfortable couch both as a couch and a bed.

We had the same problem. Our daughter slept on ours and said it was too hard. We bought a memory foam topper and then she said it was fine. To store the topper we bought a special bag at Walmart which you can suck the air out with a vacuum cleaner. You just roll it tightly and stuff it in. We store it under our bed.

we bought and cut a 2inch foam topper to fit. We are able to fold up the couch without removing.

That's interesting. Ours is a 3" one. I wonder if that would work for us. I cannot try it until we get a visitor, which won't happen until we are in Florida next winter.

Those couch beds are not comfortable. We had the person doing our PDI inspection tell us it was more comfortable than the bed in the master. I just snickered under my breathe.
You can look at it this way it keeps guests from staying too long....LOL

Never slept on it, have 2 in the front living model. No one else will be sleeping on either of them either.

I thought the lack of couch bed comfort was deliberate to limit the amount of time guests stay over.

Guests are for lunch or dinner. They are to go home or a hotel for the night. At 9 pm it is time to say you are putting the outside lights on for them. That is the time to relax.

Kinda hard to kick the kids out, our front living room has the 2 pullouts, the girls don't complain, they were raised sleeping in a tent.

Got rid of that thing. Replaced it with a futon which serves as a sofa/day bed and folds down to a comfy single bed.

Memory foam fixed the hardness problem and feels good. BUT, the main problem is that the bed is not level. The section closest to the wall is a lot lower than the cushioned part. This week I gotta figure out how to make it level. I’m guessing cut a piece of plywood, but figure out the thickness I’ll need ?

Same with ours, so our daughter sleeps with her head on the higher part.
