Installing quad. steps

Has anyone changed to the quad steps yet? I'm switching mine in the next few days and wondering which should I do, Take out the 4 carriage bolts holding the old steps or unbolt the mounting plate from the rig, dropping the whole step unit then replace the steps and remount. My big concern is the bolts coming down from the floor of the rig are rusted (2years old) and I don't want to break anything free under the flooring and go from fairly easy job to an " Oh *&^%$ " job. I have a 2010 Monty 3455SA. Thanks for any info.

When I changed mine, I just unbolted the 4 horizontal bolts, the frame-mount stayed in. Mine may be different, I'll go get pictures.
