My name is Dusty and I picked a screen name of Dustytuu which means "Dusty to you"

Don m my DH is Don and M for our last name. On some forums he is known as "Gunrunr55" That is not his age! Older than that! He once had a firearms dealer license until it got too expensive and too much trouble.

I flew for about ten years including the Alaska Bush. I then retired and became an Ex-Aviator. My license plate in Alaska was limited to six letters: hence exav8tr, actually the plate was XAV8TR. "White knuckled flyer" was already taken (reference to flying the Alaska Bush)!!!! And the rest is history....

I just used my online name--then I didn't need to remember something else--besides I have a hard time thinking of something original. J for Jan and P for Paul and then our last name--actually my middle initial is P too so it works anyway you want.

In my hubbies and my line of work prior to my retiring that is, it was common for officers to have nicknames or monikers so Chapman being our last name everyone called him Chappy so of course working at the same place I became MizChappy LOL

Well it all dates back to June 15th 1942 when Rich and Emily Weller had a brand new baby girl they named Lorraine. Then on March 14th 1943 the Charlie and Edith Adams had a son they named Glenn. Some 29 Years later Glenn happened to meet Lorraine and they fell in love. They were married and some 30 years later Glenn was looking into buying an RV and in the process discovered the Montana Owners Club. In June of 2003 he joined the MOC. Needing a User ID "Glenn and Lorraine" just sounded right.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Our youngest son "joe" has always had a need for speed. Took after his father!! So we just thought it would be something easy to remember.

I have been a building contractor for 32 years and have bent more than a few nails. The worst part is when I hit the wrong nail, for some reason it always hurts.

I raced motorcycles for 17 years. My first race bike, a Honda cr125, was an instant victim to my clutch slipping ability. It only took about 10 minutes to burn the clutch on the first ride. All my friends started calling me clutch so I wouldn't forget what I had done. I use it on all the forums I visit.

Jack Daniels and water, my preferred beverage. But my taste varies as to be neighborly. Don't want to offend anyone by turning down a happy hour cocktail.

Bernie, you mentioned that the "I" was silent,
is that like the "P' in swimming.???

I was raised on a wildlife refuge by Lawton OK and we had Roadrunner birds aplenty. Strange birds that very seldom fly. I got my commercial pilots license years ago and now I very seldom fly then of all things when I had to think of a screen name guess what my internet carrier is - you guessed it Roadrunner - thus Indy Roadrunner.

I got the basis for mine on my first day at the FAA air traffic control academy. No one knew any one there and some joker started calling folks all kinds of names. Since I'm a pretty easy going guy and laugh alot and kinda look like Barney Rubble, that nickname has stuck for the last 22 years in the FAA. My operating initials are "BR". The "express" part came from my online NASCAR racing team name. Thus...Rubble Express!

I've had several nicknames over the years. None of them seemed proper for public use.
I also thought it would be difficult to remember peoples' names on this forum, since the forum uses screen names for posting.
I thought I'd make it easy for you (and me) to remember by just using our last name (and no, I was never a well digger! lol).

I am, however, still trying to figure out why Brad's screen name starts with "bs"
Larry

Nothing special for me. Just my initials and year of birth. Felt like it was something I'd always be able to remember!

The first time I signed up on a website, they asked for a screen name, and every darn name I put in someone already had...So I thought of the most off the wall name I could think off. Had a farm magazine in my lap and it was talking about poison weeds and plants... THUS HEMLOCK only to type it in and someone else already had it... THUS HEMLOCKUSA thank God that one worked... Then I thought Gosh No one will really want to talk to anyone with a handle like that,,,, So the sites that would allow me to change, I went to YODAUSA... At 67 I don't want to press it.... TWO USER NAMES are ENOUGH TO REMEMBER. ha ha Safe Travels My Friends John
