Tire Minder pressure system
Does anyone have any experience with the Tire Minder pressure system put out by Minder Research that Camping World sells?

Bought one about a month ago and have 2500 miles on my trailer since then. Works fine. Did buy the booster. Not sure I needed it but didnt have time to experiment. Booster gives me a signal 10 foot away from trailer. Batterys for sensor are user replacable and they give you two sets. Monitor worked fine without constant DC connection. Good luck.

I bought a Hawkshead as well. I was able to carry the receiver over 100 feet from the rig and did not lose signal. No repeater needed.

Just got thru ordering my HawksHead system. It was considerably less than the Tire Minder from Camping World. Hope it works as good as people have indicated.
After blowing out a Marathon with only 1500 miles on it ang getting 4 new Goodyear G614 I figured a little insurance might be a good idea.
I filed my offical loss claim with Goodyear yesterday and will wait to see what they say.
I was lucky that I had no damage to the 5er just one dinged up rim and one totally blown tire. Also lucky that it happened at a point where I could pull off the freeway.

All of the systems do what they in particular are supposed to do. I don't know anything about either the Tire Minder or Hawkshead systems but I do own the Pressure Pro system which for my money was the way to go. It costs more but I believe it was worth it.

I'm looking at tire pressure monitoring systems now and appreciate everyone's input.

Steve,
I had looked at the CW monitoring system and had talked to people who owned it. The consensus about that system was although it monitored well, sometimes the sensors on the wheels were too far away from the monitor panel. I didn't know about the Hawkshead system. I guess the major selling point of the Pressure Pro system for me was the sellers, Pat & Mike McFall, were like me, members of the Escapees RV Club and had used the system on their setup for several years without one complaint. Plus, they are very knowledgeable and easy to work with. Steve, if you've seen any of my previous posts concerning purchases, you will remember that I'm a great believer in that you get what you pay for.
