Another Earthquake
Just had another earthquake.....This one I heard comin!!!Sounded like a train getting closer and closer then it hit. I was comin in from the Montana (we are getting ready to take off) and got to the stick house door. I opened the door and the windows really started rattling. I thought it was the wind. Didn't relate the sound with the windows. I was sitting at the puter reading the MOC and looked at the TV and sure enough the were reporting another quake. Now you have to understand we live in Rancho Cucamonga Ca. and our minor baseball team is called the quakes because of the shaking we have around here. This one was a 5.4 but totally different from the one the other day. We have had about 12 aftershocks so far and it has only been 1/2 hr. Don't like this at all. I am glad we are leaving for Montana tomorrow....This isn't funny at all. Kathi

You need to move to Tennessee. Would hate to live with the threat of quakes all the time. We have beautiful weather here most of the time. If you don't like what it is doing here, wait 30 minutes, and the weather will change.

Kathi and Paul, I'm glad to hear you had no serious damage and you folks are fine. Enjoy your trip to Montana. We're headed up that way in early July, too.
Cindi&David, I know exactly what you mean! We just spent two months in Gatlinburg so we saw some of the rapid weather changes. Reminded me of our years in Kansas in that respect.

We felt the one near Crescent City the other night but only slightly. Sure had the people in Crescent City worried about a Tsunami. They had one in 1964 and hoped history was not repeating itself.

Yeah, this one felt way different than the last one centered in Anza a few days ago. We split the eartquakes into three types: Rollers and Shakers and the combination of the two are called Rumblers---I catagorized yesterday's as a Rumbler. It drove the cats nuts...!

What's wrong with a little shaking, we've only had five earthquakes in five days. Last night was a 6.6 they are getting a little stronger, word is that southern California will break off and end up off the coast of San Francisco. That's not as bad as it sounds, the fishing is great up there.

Sounds like a good time to buy future beachfront property in Yuma, huh?
