Recent experiences with Westlake tires?

I know everyone is still very happy with their Sailuns, I have had the GY G614 on my Monty for the last three years with about 10k miles on them now. Zero problems, lots of miles left on them.
Just reading about the Westlakes 235/85 16 G rated 14 ply 4,400 lb. rating (same as the Sailuns I believe).
eTrailer.com is selling them for about $226 and they really seem to like them, all 5 star reviews on their website.
Anyone have any personal experience with these?

My experience with their 15” E rated, was they sucked lasted less than 10k miles. Then the cords separated. Pretty much tried all the different 15” trailer tires. NONE of them are any good

Skimmed through the ratings on eTrailer. pretty much all of the ratings were for eTrailer vs the quality of the tire. Of the 44 reviews about 4 are for the tire isteslf and one mentioned that the tire looks cheaply made

I found the etrailer has censored a couple of my product ratings in the past, leaving only any that were good on other items. Do I still buy from them - yes, but no longer review a product

I understand that you didn't ask about the Sailuns but I have to ask why you are considering paying considerably more for tires that you are unfamiliar with?

Oh, I'm not considering buying these tires (my GY G614s still have plenty of life) but I was just curious since I hadn't heard of these and eTrailer seemed to give these a good review in their video. Didn't really have a chance to read through the reviews...wasn't important enough for me to take the time to do that.
I would give the Sailuns a serious look for my next set of tires, although I have had excellent luck with the GYs thus far (albeit at 2x the price of Sailuns )
I do agree (after looking at them) that the eTrailer reviews on this tire are next to useless...

Is there any worry to tires aging out and not wearing out?

Yes, tires can become more prone to failure with age, but I've not heard a "magic number" since there are many variables.
However, most experts I've heard (or read) say about 7-8 years is a good time to consider replacing them just to play it safe.
NOTE: that is NOT 7-8 years from the time you bought them but from time of manufacture which can be found on the sidewall.
