Only a Cool shower
My Daughter just camped for the first time in their 2016 Montana High Country.
They found the shower was uncomfortably cool. In fact, the temp on full hot is only 89 degrees while the water from the sink next to the shower is 114 degrees.
Water pressure is good.
Anyone have any ideas why this is?.

May not have run it long enough. Our hot water for the shower is on the ceiling of the basement.

It ran plenty long. Four people took showers and the temp was cool.

might be by-pass valve open letting cold water mix with hot. Check valving in convienence centre...

Doesn't make sense that the sink beside the shower is hot but the shower is not. Points to something in how the shower is plumbed. Must be somehow mixing cold water with hot in the faucet or shower head or the plumbing to it.
If it was the bypass valve you would expect same temp from all faucets.

Check the out door shower. Make sure the hot and cold valves are off.

Hot and cold water must be mixing probably at the shower faucet since you don't have the problem anywhere else.

In that case I am betting that single handle valve is not working correctly and allowing too much cold water flow when it should be mostly stopping the cold.

Suspect a plumbing install glitch not the hot water heater itself. 2016, likely still under warranty, let the dealer deal with it.

yup, sounds like a defective mixing valve.... move it one way and it should be cold, move it the other and it should get hot. If there's no significant change, then the problem may be the mixing valve. I have heard of some single valve faucets where the rings become twisted up somehow and prevents flow of one of the water temps.
If the hot water works elsewhere, then it's not the hot water heater. It might be a good idea to check the outside shower if you have one. These usually have separate cold or hot water faucets. Turn on the hot and check that it's hot.
If the rig is new enough, get to the dealer quick and get this fixed. Hopefully there's still some warranty time left.

Sounds like the mixing valve might not have been installed correctly.If you are getting hot water at other faucets then it certainly not the hot water heater. The mixing valve was probably not turned correctly for the install.I had this problem on my home and had to take the lever on the mixing valve out and turn it a little to the left and reinstall so that i could have hot water. This is the lever behind the outside plate and shower handle. This is a quick fix at the dealer. It would take them probably longer to do the paper work than correct the problem but we ALL know how the dealers operate.Good Luck.

Not sure in RV faucets but all single lever faucets in the residential line have a scald guard on them. Generally get to it by removing the lever. Rotate the plastic scald guard cam to allow the lever to move further in the hot direction. Lots of YouTube video's showing the procedure.

I'm not sure about rv's either but YouTube is an excellent idea to see if it can be fixed without going to the dealer. I suspect it is the same as a house and if it is then it sure beats leaving it with the dealer for 2 or 3 weeks for a quick fix.
